The Ventureast Tenet Fund -II is the second successive fund that was launched to invest in seed stage opportunities, following on from the Ventureast Tenet Fund – I which was the first fund to be floated in partnership with an academic institution in India (Tenet Group of IIT Madras). The Ventureast Tenet Fund - II primarily invests in companies which would build technologies and solutions addressing the large, unaddressed needs of the digital divide and SME segments. The fund’s investments typically range between USD 100,000 to USD 1 million depending on the requirement of the investee company.
The fund has already invested in 5 startups, including a solar power products company; a speech recognition technology solutions company; and a sourcing solutions provider for US based SMEs. The fund team has significant business building experience, including at UTV, Lazard, Financial Express, Infosys, and Apollo Healthcare. They work closely with investee companies in activities that range from conceptualizing the business model to establishing networks and partnerships. |
